you're not the juan steward from PA are you?
no im the juan steward from africa.
That 4x8 could be a battle as well! Ship is the clear favorite at the moment with that 7:45 they put up, but it's looking like SRU could definitely be in the mix with the way their 800 guys are running.
When was the last time the PSAC had a team go sub 7:50 in the 4x8? It hasn't happened since I've been running here.
in 2008 haven ran 7:46 at conference to set the championship record and a few weeks later mansfield ran 7:42 to set the conference record
Speaking of Lock and Mansfield, has anyone else heard about this possible combining of the two schools? I know there are always rumors, but word on the street is that the PSAC schools are in the hole pretty bad budget-wise. This could mean Mansfield and Lock Haven combining, for a North and South Campus. Does that mean the teams would combine? Is this just an awful rumor? Anyone know anything?

Hopefully SRU will show up. The distance races should still be great as all are up for grabs. The throws and jumps are dominated by people up front so the winner is not questioned. Where is Westbrook the jumper from IUP?

I found out that Westbrook was suspended from the team by the coach for missing classes. What is up with Batula the HJ'er from Ship? He could be the difference in the team title.
what`is this thread about?!?!?!
4K
good stuff at kent today. buck 1:52.6. guys legit.
Alright the Ship bashing is getting a little ridiculous. Let's get back on track with some predictions for this weekend.
First PSAC Champs in Edinboro. I heard the track is pretty fast. Looks like he had some last minute qualifiers this weekend who might shake things up a bit. Ship's depth in the distance may be too much to overcome again this year. Anyone have any thoughts?
I remember, your a legend
way i see it, it will come down to esu and ship. its a question of whether ship can outscore haven in the distance events or esu can outscore iup in the sprints and jumps. whoever does this the most successfully will win the title.
Lock Haven by 20. Haven has distance but also scores well in many other events. ESU 2nd and Ship 3rd followed closely by IUP who lost one of their top sprinters to weather related injury.
Ship could pull it off if they go crazy in distance but too much depth overall for Haven.
SRU struggles for 5th.
I see it as a four team race in the end...SHIP, ESU, HAVEN, and IUP. It is really too close to call and will most likely come down to the 3k and the 4x400s. Can't wait its going to be a fine meet!
Wow, nice info on the 4x8. Any chance that record falls this weekend? I think if Ship throws in their A team, they'll have a shot, with challenges from ESU, Haven, and SRU.
Is it just me, or are there more qualifiers in the distance events than in the previous few years? I've been running at the conference meet since 08 indoors and I feel like there are a lot more qualifiers in the 8, mile, 3k, and 5k than there normally is. Can anybody clarify?
it might have to do with the qualifying times being slower. i don't know what they are now, i know the 5k is high 15:5X's but in '07, it was...
mile - 4:29
3k - 8:56
5k - 15:48
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
