what do people eat on race day.. thoughts?
What I started to do this past cross season was eat a half a box of the little powdered donuts. I learned that from Jorge, but it doesn't make you feel too full and when you are done with your race and cooling down you just start to get hungry again.
I personally like to keep it small with a bagel and cream cheese. then I will stick with gatorade or water the rest of the morning....
McCloskey is the top PSAC runner so give him his due. He is legit compared to the average runner who posted below. No one from Ship is even close to him. He was at Nationals and there were more male sprinters from PSAC competing there than distance guys. The statement that PSAC is a distance oriented conference is wishful thinking. The conference would go 1)jumpers 2)sprinters 3)throwers 4)distance.
Hey at least Mccloskey can finish a race now...choke choke lololol
Don't even get us started on the NEC.
Top PSAC runner? That goes to Chris Clark, the Track athlete of the year. Maybe it's a conspiracy to cover up how good McClosky really is from the public. Or maybe the fact that Clark has the all-time 10k record in the conference and also showed up at nationals, he may have under performed but he still showed up and earned his certificates. Thats the big difference, Clark is sooo good he can under perform and still go all-american. McClosky has to have a GREAT day to make the finals at nationals. See the difference?
Also, you're right. He is better then the ship sprinters. But the ship sprinters aren't on here saying how good they are and humiliating themselves.
The conference is a distance oriented conference btw.
The conference had 2 sprinters go AA. with a 5th and a 6th.
3 relays but its hard to compare because there isn't any outdoor distance relays, But indoors we do have the DMR which the PSAC regulary has a team go AA. Hmmm I wonder why? Maybe its because we are a distance oriented conference. It wasn't until two years ago that we had our first AA relay team for the girls in the sprints. Big suprise there.
We had Jav throwers go AA like always, it helps that jav isn't a nationwide hs event and PA is considered one of the best states for jav.
Jumpers. Yes we had 2 AA with a 1st and 8th
Then the Distance:
We had 5 individual AA's. 1 national champion, then a 5th, 6th,6th,8th, and 8th. Am I missing something or is there more AA's in the PSAC in distance events or sprinting events. But i thought the PSAC was more represented at nationals by sprinters then distance runners? Shouldn't there be more AA's in the sprints then distance?
Go ahead and point out that you said MALE sprinters ect ect. But the conference is summed up as a whole male and female. And lets be honest. Over the past 30 years there have been more distance AA's then sprinters.
It's fun watching McCloskey make an ass out of himself. I wonder what other stupid shit he's going to say.
If you could READ it said MALE distance runners dumbass. Your results are way off when you take out the women. I agree that the WOMEN distance runners in the conference are good and better than any other event.
Pretty sure Clark did not get AOY for track. His great 1500 at Millerville did not pass the test. McCloskey won the 1 and 2 and anchored the winning 4 x 1. That made him MVP and AOY.
Iup had a 4 x 100 relay make all-american on the men. That is a sprint. Just because distance does not have a relay you can not discount them. You have 4 events - 15, steeple, 5 and 10 while the sprinters have the 1, 2, and 4 and the relays. Not sure where the 8 falls in but since only one guy from conference made it to nationals and he is from Iup then I will say sprints.
Did not realize that Ship had sprinters. You should be smart like them and stay off of this website.
Still the best.... quite simple, your a dumbass. Please click on the link below..

AOY counts all post season activity, and since McClosky sucks on the national level he sadly lost out to the guy that was a double AA.
Also, what was the last thing I said in my last post? I know you said MALES...You do know how to read don't you? Because obviously you are having some troubles with your comprehension. Here Reread:
"""Go ahead and point out that you said MALE sprinters ect ect. But the conference is summed up as a whole male and female. And lets be honest. Over the past 30 years there have been more distance AA's then sprinters."""
So since one guy made it to nationals and he is from IUP it makes the 800 a sprinting event? WTF does that mean. So if Ship would have had a 800 runner at nationals we would have to flip a coin to decide if the 800 is a distance or sprinting event? Your logic is tremendous.
Weather we knock out the women or men, The conference still had more AA certificates in the distance then sprints. Did you read the previous post at all? You can't rate the talent on how many qualified for nationals, you can really only look at who show's up. Because that is what everybody looks at as far as how good a school or conference is. If we had a 100 individuals qualify for nationals and not a single one made finals and the RMAC sent 20 and they all went AA, guess which conference is better? Probably the one that wins.
1 Sprint relay + 1 sprinter = TWO AA's
2 10k AA + 1 5k AA = THREE AA's
Anything else your dumbass can come up with that I can shut down?
Reread please:
"""Also, you're right. He is better then the ship sprinters. But the ship sprinters aren't on here saying how good they are and humiliating themselves"""
I previously stated that the Ship sprinters weren't the best, so your great joke that made you chuckle inside about us not having sprinters just doesn't make too much sense. But I understand your situation, when your desperate to make yourself look half intelligent you sometimes forget to think. It happens....
Barry get that Butt Son, I know you will get your Nut. Like a squirrel grinding ona nut
Just as an aside, as an 800 runner I have to say(as I think most other 800 runners would say) that I consider myself to be a distance runner. I guess it's a toss up for some people(Hatch and Rector both do 400-800), but when I think "mid-distance", I'm tagging the 800m race to the second part of that phrase.. the rest of the tops in the conference would prob. agree, too. Neyhart, Kacsur, Pomerantz, Langdale, Janssen, and Amy are all XC runners.
Focus you but holes - on the future - what does anyone know about the Regional Course in Mansfield? And how the hell did they get Regionals?

Oh I am so sorry Mr. Genius. I forgot you were so smart. --- Oh wait, you go to Ship so you can't be too bright. People go to Ship when they can not get into a real school.
I'm pretty sure that every PASSHE school is about as selective as it's counterparts(which isn't very selective), so if you were implying that the "Ship" person is dumb because he goes to Ship and not some other state school (ESU, I would assume), then you my friend, are the dumbass.
anyone remember when mccloskey led off the 4x4 at outdoor psacs? their only chance to win the team title and he split like a 50 or 51... I dont remember which, but you would think the top sprinter in the conference (national qulaifier, 2 time psac champ, athlete of the meet, D1 caliber sprinter and whatever other stupid accolades you were bragging about) would be able to pull out a decent split instead of handing off in about 4th out of 5 teams...
The race for the title was over after the 1st leg... thanks andrew! kids got no heart, no balls and apparently no sense of grammar and spelling.
just thought i would share that moment, it was the highlight of the meet in my opinion. I almost felt bad for him, letting down his team like that, but then i saw his idiotic ghetto posts and it made me feel a lot better. thanks again andrew!
go xc!
I would be careful to judge how people who go to ship only go there because they can't get into anything else. I personally chose Ship, because mommy and daddy aren't paying for my schooling and spoon feeding me. It's not always what you think it is dude. I did, key word,"did", have a lot of respect for your talent on the track, but now seeing how you are reacting over a freaking forum, you really aren't helping your cause or reputation. Most of all, you are embarrassing your program, which, doesn't reflect well on your coach and your teammates. Come on man, you are getting worked up over nothing. Is it really going to matter a few weeks from now? People love instigating and every time you fire back, it will never end. So just move past the BS and worry about more important things in life--sex and beer.
This is crazy. I had no idea that McClosky was such a massive d-bag. To come at the heads of one of the best athletes I have ever been able to call teammates is over the line. Don't worry, he won't ever say it himself but I will, Bryan Beegle is and will be a more accomplished athlete than you could ever even dream of. I am not going to list what he has done or harp on how hard he works, you just need to come to the realization now that you are out of your mind for thinking you are the some gift from the sprinting god's to the PSAC. It's been mentioned once, but I wanted to say, I enjoyed every last second of that awesome 4x400 leg you ran at PSAC's. Thanks for that.
I would have never EVER responded to the crazy BS that you were spweing about never going out and being bad with the ladies or your ford focus and trailer you live in or whatever the hell you were trying to say in whatever new version of English you just invented, but seriously DON'T EVER go after people (especially my teammates whether the 1st guy on my team of 101st), who are without a doubt massively more talented than you.
Kudos to that, shizzy. I can respect defending your teammates when someone comes after them like that.
But back to discussion, I am also curious about both the PSAC and the Regionals courses.. anybody have the word on how Edinboro/Manfield's courses are?
How badly is Mansfield going to suck this year?
Better make your hotel reservations in Freakin Williamsport cuz you don't want to stay in hicksvirginia.
Oh yeah and it's BYOB
