Without a doubt, Edinboro is the best cross country school the PSAC has ever (and will ever) have. Their long tradition is something for any team to admire and aspire to...and places them as one of the best D2 cross schools ever (likely only rivaled/beaten by Adams with Western not too far behind). Over the years, that program has recruited themselves a fair number of good runners from across the pond:
-- Uriel Rivera
-- Marty Lyons
-- Clayton Clews
-- Carl Leonard
-- Yimin Wu
All five of those guys were PSAC champs in cross during the 90's....and (I believe) none of them were born in the United States. The impact that these guys had on the PSAC was incredible. It further enhanced (as it was already well underway) the national visibility of the PSAC conference. It pushed teams like Shippensburg to 2nd and 4th place finishes at Nationals (imagine finishing second at Nats and never being able to beat a team in your conference the whole year).
The advice on this board is spot on...get out there, train everyday and aspire to do a great job not just at PSAC's but at Nats.
