Anybody know who is gonna be the Lock Haven XC coach this fall?
Russell quit or got fired? When did this happen? Where's the proof?
bring home the brandts!
Probably the worst quotation I've ever seen on here... but in other news, who's going to the Ed Fry Invite this weekend? Just as importantly the run and chug afterward?

the job has been posted on the ncaa website for 2 weeks:
http://ncaamarket.ncaa.org/jobdetail.cfm?job=3101893Russell coaches at Lock Haven....Not IUP. IUP has some JO thats in place to take over Ed Fry's spot....IUP has to post the job for legal purposes
That is IUP not Lock Haven you idiot. Coach Russell is at the Haven...not IUP.
they need to say the interviewed female and minority candidates. typically they already have someone in mind if it is posted on that website.
clark 29:03.10
Neyhart looked like such a punk sprinting past the field for the win in 3:58 at Bucknell last weekend. Good to know he can kick like madman off of 4:20 pace.
Better than just finishing with the pack and saying "the race wasn't there today" like so many "elite" runners do...
Way to go Clark!!!
Yeah Clark!! Nice run.
Looks like PSACs could be interesting this year. Clark is a clear favorite in the 10k, with Weiss giving him a challenge in the 5k. The steeple is actually a pretty deep race this year, with some awesome competition between Beegle and Hilton at the top. The 1500 could also be a battle, with Hahn and Pom putting up national caliber times as of right now. The 800 is going to be another close one, with Kascur, Hatch, Jamieson, Rector, McConnell, and even Langdale thrown in the mix. Sprints are just going to be insane based on the amount of qualifiers. 2 1/2 more weeks 'til Millersville!!
BTW, on the girls side, how has nobody said anything about Mary Dell putting up a 4:30 1500?? That blew my mind when I saw that! Congrats to her, that's blazing.
pat reagan will be making his outdoor debut when he runs the 5k and 10k at penn this weekend.
Awesome! Is Reagan going to be running in the Rock uniform, or is he red-shirting to save eligibility for his rumored move out to Adams State next year?
So with Slippery Rock losing both Reagan and Weiss...basically they are going to suck next year.
i do not see regan on the start lists unless he is unattached.
I'm hoping that both Regan and Weiss run the 5K at Penn. Crouch (Queens) the runner-up in D2 Cross and the Indoor 5K champ will be running, as will a host of guys who should be right around 14:00 - 14:10...the Georgetown guys, the Iona guy (can't spell his name), Forys from Michigan who seems primed for a breakout race, and of course the PSAC's own Ben "tight pants" Hahn and Cal's Chris Clark. Should be a good one...I'm hoping Weiss doesn't opt for the 10. Fleck

speaking of penn... did anyone see what the haven guys are seeded in the 10k??? what is up with russell always seeding his guys so damn high?
out of a competitive 45 person collegiate field they are seeded 3rd 5th and 6th right around weiss which means all three of them are probably seeded sub 30. getz and jed have run high 31s i believe but johnson has run nothing under 32:40s. mclaughlin is seeded 31st and hes already run a provsional!
even in the 5k, they have zondlo up there running in the fast section which is usually won in sub 14. the guy is a 1500/steepler who wasnt that great at cross country. So throw him in a fast 5k in the biggest track and field meet in the nation?
It just seems to me like they throw their athletes to the dogs whether they are ready or not, and it usually ends up going pretty poorly for them. whenever they go to penn their guys usually end up doing horribly and embarassing the conference. so russell will you please stop seeding your athletes way faster than they are capable of running... its a violation of ethics in our sport and usually makes your team look like idiots.
but hey i will eat my words if haven comes away from tomorrow with a few provisionals and automatics.... but looking at their past history i highly doubt i will be wrong.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
