Dave Antagnoli of Edinboro (late 60's-early 70's) was as dominant as one could possibly be in the PSAC. He was a multiple NCAA champ, and ran in the mid-28's for 10K on the track.

Would anyone have photos? Just curious to see some old school Edinboro running.
Try the Edinboro website:

Once the race started, all I ever saw of Antagnoli was his back.........
this is my favorite line from the article:
Tiffany Tedesco, a 19-year-old freshman communication major and a member of the SRU women’s track team, acknowledged that she had posted the pictures on Facebook.
“I forgot to look at the pictures before I posted them,” Tedesco said Wednesday afternoon. “It was a mistake and I’m deleting them.”
It is my favorite because this individual did not learn her lesson that underage drinking on a school trip is wrong (any drinking is wrong, not just underage), she only learned that posting pictures of that on facebook is wrong. I have never heard of any of the athletes mentioned in the article so they are probably not that good anyway.
I also heard that they were in USA today (4-1), but i have not obtained a copy of that newspaper yet.
Shame on you Rock runners!!!!
I mean really, drinking during the season?????
PSAC's are only 5 weeks away!
Irresponsible behavior like that brings our whole conference down. Fun and being a college student is for the DEVIL, not for Top tier division one runners like us.
I just hope that the rest of you take this as an example and never start drinking. (waves his cane furiously)

We ship runners would never participate in Drinking activities during season, everyone should be more like us!
We Edinboro runners would never participate in drinking activites during season, everyone should be more like us too!
we're just too busy winning
nothing wrong with drinking. I go through life in a constant drunk stupor. Some of my best races were after hitting the sauce.
Certain lite beers have actually been known to assist in hydration. There was a study done by a harvard scientist a few years ago, and he said that while it is obviously better to drink water, there are still similar benefits if one was to drink say, Natural Light or Miller Lite.
p.s. drinking also makes it easier to have sexual relations with ugly girls. or vice versa for girls in similar sitations with dirt.
see i'm drunk right now. i meant to say 'situations' and i wrote sitations.
Mr. Cakes,
I like your style.

When I was at edinboro we were to busy drinking and winning....
win first, drink then run 16 miles the next morning.
I'm not trying to say that everyone should drink or that it makes you cool (but it does), but really getting caught drinking in the middle of track doesn't constitute being burned at the stake.
On another note... who's gonna win the Steeple this year at PSAC's?
Or any even for that matter.
Out doors should be easy
800 Struaman with Sanford second
1500 - is there really any doubt? Cummings has earned the No doubt class. Spidell or Pinto second.
5000 Blood if he runs it Weiss if not (Clark is red shirting)
10k Blood if he runs Weiss if not Reagan pick up third in both
Steeple??? I don't know.
The 800 looks to be a good race at the west meet. Struamanm Sanford, Garcia and Cummings.
spidell seems to not be in any kind of form right now
pinto is a question as well.
if anyone is smart they don't want to let cummings kick. he really doesn't race any other way. pinto shouldn't try to kick with him, because he doesn't seem to know how to kick. he proved that indoor at NCAA's and PSAC's and last yeart at NCAA's.
Except for when he ran 3:47 and out kicked Hanslovan down the straight a few years back at bucknell.
Anyone else notice Blood entered in the 10k tonight out at Stanford?
No, didn't see him there last night. In fact, was wondering where he was and hoping he wasn't there because he needed a plane ticket/hotel. If that's the case, somebody please get him in touch with me or let me know how I can get in touch with him...dude needs to get in these high profile races.
May be entered in section 2 or 3 of the 10K, which aren't happening until tonight.
Hoovis
he is entered in the section for tonight. 2nd fastest heats of the 10k
Go Blood...rock one tonight. Run smart and just hang on lap after lap...you're tougher than anybody in that race.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
