$5000
I'm only 24 though and have only had a full-time job for about ten months. I try to sock away about 10-12% of each paycheck, which isn't much, but it's better than nothing!
I'm 39. $250k in 401k. $100k in CDs. $10k in roth iras. $35k in bonds and mutual funds.
Also, I own my house with no mortgage. That's a big factor toward retirement.
32 - got savings in roth ira and company 401k with a nice company match - big thing is that I hope to get to goal of 500k between the two by age 50. there are some good tools to figure out how much you need to save per year to get to your goal on http://www.analyzenow.com/
I am 35 and have maybe 10k in a roth and 401k, I am not doing so hot.
I'm 29, and have $32,000 in 401k. Also have $2,000 in a Roth, and $50,000 in money market.
Please don't slam me for the 50 in the money market, but planning to buy a house within the next 2 years or so.
Depends on if the Rams cover against Green Bay.
I'm 25. Have 12k in 401k, but this FY alone I'll put something like 8k in it. I also have 2k in a liquid savings account and will start adding about 5k+ a year now, but I don't think that'll be for retirement - probably a house later.
You'd be better off taking the Pats today. The Fish are starting Joey Harrington. Pats win by 17. (Line is -9.5)

52 years old. About $600,000. No debt. Didn't really start saving until I was in late 30's. It was too hard just living week to week.I also saved enough to send 2 sons to State 4 year colleges so they have no loans. They may to take some out for grad school.
I just checked my 401k. 72k and change. I'm a moderate investor and my return for the year is just over 6 percent. The dow's up over 10 this year. Go figure. I've also got a few grand in savings and a little over 1k in an IRA I no longer add too. It was over 6,000 but I drained it to pay off my wifes credit card bills a few years ago. I think it's funny when I get my yearly social security statement. They're teasing me with money I'll never see. I'm sure all the lazy welfare slobs will still get there checks in 30 years, however.
35 in December. 21,600 in IRA. Had 0 3 yrs ago. I am sticking to a plan now. Hopefully I should be over 1M by the time I am 60, but 1M will be worth about 400G today.
24 years old...so far for retirement I have saved negative $2100
28 with about $100,000 in retirement/liquid assests. Also a teacher, so theoretically I'll have a nice additional pension too. Teaching isn't a bad profession salary-wise if you get the extra degrees and coach on the side.

Late forties. Excluding home equity, about $1,860,000 in stock, bond, and money market funds. Probably about $600,000 or $700,000 of that is in IRAs. The rest is in taxable accounts.
