Will be interesting to hear, I'll be 30 in a few months and am at 3.5 years off.
I'm 30 and coming off 10 yrs off. But getting back to 5km and up stuff. Maybe we could compare progress by email? I'm 6months into the comeback and still some way to go before getting close to PRS, but running has become a lot easier than 6 months ago, and lost some of the extra weight
I came back to running after a 9-year break when I was 27. It took a lot of frustratingly slow miles in the beginning, but it's really paying off now. About 2.5 years into it, I'm doing about 75 mpw and have a whole new set of PRs. My wife thinks I'm completely nuts, but what the hell? It's a good feeling to know that I'm in better shape approaching 30 than I was a decade ago.

Maybe some emails could contain pics and we can set up some sort of encounter in my van. You know, we can meet at a local race and -- after running hard and getting all sweaty -- you can release those bi-curious desires. I'm Mir. BTW, what is everyone's A/S/L/Pic?

not a troll, bill rodgers quit after his junior year track season i believe.
sorry, i was referring to the previous post
after 7 years off it took me 2 years to come back (mostly because of weight gain).i quit when i was 19 and ran 15:30. I started running when i was 26.When i was 28 i ran 16:00.but my times in 10k and above where all better.
different sport, but george foreman came back to regain the world title in boxing after being off for about 10 years.
10 years off. came back at 30 after a kid even and ran way faster than in college at 5k and up and I wasn't that bad then.
