I was on the team with Luke at St. Mark's and graduated a year before he did. He ran 49.86 FAT, 48.9 relay and 1:54.99 FAT. The wikipedia article is wrong - the 400 is not a school record. That would be 48.76 by a guy named Greg Hutton, who graduated the same year I did. Luke is actually only about 4th or 5th on the school list in the 400. A kid named Jeremy Downs ran 1:54.93 hand time a few years after Luke graduated, but that's a 1:55.0, obviously inferior to Luke's time, so Luke still has the 800 record. He's also on school record teams for the 4 x 400 (3:21.38) and 4 x 800 (8:04.13). That 4 x 400 record was where he ran his 48.9 split. I think he ran two more open 800s in the 1:55s in high school in addition to the 1:54.99. Bear in mind I haven't kept up with St. Mark's track for over a decade, so maybe some of those school records have changed, but I doubt it.
