I got the impression that NYU was minus its #1 at Regionals? If so (and assuming he gets healthy), I'd say they look very much like a contender for a trophy next week. They've really had a terrific season--props to all involved.
(Parenthetically: over the years, I've read in numerous places that teams that have won nationals have eschewed their usual pack-running philosophy for that meet. NYU seems like a pack-oriented team--I wonder whether they will try to maintain that at Nationals? Any thoughts?)
As an outsider, I've kind of enjoyed the byplay on this thread over the last X weeks. I can see why teams would have policies about not reading (or, at least, not posting on) letsrun during the season--why provide some other guy with bulletin-board material? But now that the National entry is decided, everyone seems to be pulling together for Atlantic--nice to see.
