I’m going to try to give as much info as I can so that there aren’t a ton of questions.
My coach has said that he wants most of our boys team (about 30 out of 45 guys) to average 40+ miles per week this summer. Most of our mileage is pretty hilly so 40 miles might be 3500-4500’ of climbing each week. We do about 25% of our weekly miles in either threshold / tempo and hill reps.
I think most guys are pretty into it and our varsity boys are probably going to be closer to 55-60. Our average mile time for the 40+ miles group is 4:57. I think outside of our varsity boys we averaged around 25 mpw last summer but have built up to this.
I have multiple camps and vacations this summer that I’m not sure I can run at. I ran 4:50 last spring. Am I going to get left behind? I will probably average around 25 miles
