It always surprises me how little letsrun covers Athletics in person with most of the reporting being done by watching on TV. They should send Jonathan Gault to Europe for the summer to report in person, especially as its an off year for USATF championships. After pre fly over to Europe, go to Monaco, then watch the world record attempts in London, perhaps a quick visit to spot the next laros/Ingy at euro U18s. Take in a couple of Days of key races at the commonwealth games. Wanyoni, Burgin, Arop, or Odira vs Keely. Myers vs Kerr, Hull vs GHB etc. Visit some training camps in St Moritz or Font, hook up with levandoskis training group or M11 for some articles. Catch a couple of days of the Euros, Keely vs Werro. Laros vs Nader vs Wightman. Take in Brighton's first euros playoff before back on the DL circuit, Lausanne, Silesia, Zurich then the DL Finals in Brussels, and the Ultimate Champs in Budapest. Throw in a couple of European or premier league matches, maybe follow some NCAA athletes at some of the lower key European meets. Get an interrail pass travel around see the sights enjoy the culture, food, romance etc. If I was an athletics journalist or retired or a student on break that's what I'd be doing!
