Mehdi Frère, has bounced back after two year absence because of "whereabouts failure" to win the Paris 10 kilometer Road Race in 28:11. Great to see him back and we all was believed in him.
The 2:05:43 marathon runner, from Valencia in 2023, has a lot to prove and it should be a good summer for him.
It was a shame he was not able to contest the Paris Olympics 2024 marathon because of the whereabouts failure even though we believe in his integrity.
Mehdi Frère continued to receive the full support of his employer, the French National guard police service, which guards the President, Macron, and other dignitaries - a very prestigious position in police work.
This 28:11 for 10 kilometers on the road, I believe, is Frère's fastest 10 kilometres on the road in his career indicating that he was probably clean even though suffering the judgment of "whereabouts failure" which he put down to a misunderstanding.
Credit to him for getting back to such a high level after two years of absence from competitions.
