Since my knee is recovering, i'm running on the grass alot, so me and some 9th graders go down to the park for some laps (1 lap=1000 meters). I did about 45 minutes worth of running (in a row), since it was a recovery day, while others slacked and bought food at the nearby gas station. I found that I had no tolerance for this and "yelled" at them (yelled meaning sorta insulted them, shaked my head, ran towards them), not really encouraging but rather insulting ("You ran 2 laps? Are you proud of that? Thats bad)". I could never bring myself to stop in the middle of a workout like our captain does, just to make someone who is bitchin for no reason run. I guess when it comes to running I think soley about myself and the few around me who care about running.
Would you make a good captain on a cross country team?
