I am wondering if anyone experences similar problems to me with modern distance spikes. I have narrow feet and a very high arch, the problem I have is that it seems almost all companies place a spike directly below the ball of the foot, for someone with feet my shape this is very very painful and by the end of say a 5k I am in a lot of pain. The only spikes I can wear are Nike Eldorest aor the dhist LD (with the Eldoret plate) because they do not have a spike under the ball of the foot, its just filled in. Surely the fact that Nike have done this means it has been a problem for people. I have tried numerous other models, Kennedys, shifts, even a pair of the womens xoom D, I have also experienced this problem with some XC spikes with a felxible spike plate such as the old zoom country's. It now means (as the Eldorest and Shifts are discontinued) that there isn't a spike on the market i can wear comfortable. Does anybody else have probelms with this?
