it's true
How much?
thats his business, not yours....but hes training w/ marion jones' coach and under nike, hopefully we will see a sprint gold double in 2004 from justin
Or get caught and suspended with performance enhancing drugs again.
Ye,
Go have a glass of milk and take a nap...don't tell me what my business is...
Why do these athletes leave the coaches that have helped make them successful? Always a mystery...it usually takes a full year to adjust to a new training regimen/situation.
I don't think that the "full year to adjust to a new training regimen/situation" is as necessary for sprinters as it is for field eventers and may be even distance runners. I don't think Trevor Graham will have a year's worth of tweaking to do on Mr. Gatlin. Now, adjusting to a new pharmacist may be a different story...
Can anyone give the details of Gatlins previous brush with the doping police. I guess I was out running that day and missed it.
Gatlin was taking ritalin. According to IAAF rules, if someone is taking this drug(and this isn't the only one that falls into this category), they must submit written documentation of it, and have it approved, and everything will be ok. Gatlin did not know this, although he probably should have checked, and was busted on this minor technicality.
He was only suspended because of bureaucratic semantics. And, since then, the IAAF has lifted his ban.
accel,
how is what gatlin is making any of your business? so you go have yourself a warm glass of shut the hell up.
Happy Gilmore rules!
Isn't that the stuff that bad parents give to their kids to make them sleep all day?

Do you really need to advertise how clueless you are?
Excuse my pharmacological ignorance.
(must be tough knowing everything)
Ritalin... interesting that a sprinter was taking what basically amounts to "speed".
Feeble minds,
Yeah, you're probably right...Trevor is such an oustanding coach, I'm sure he'll coach him all the way to up to 10.30...PLEASE...Trivia: Name me one athlete Trevor has DEVELOPED. Pettigrew was a WORLD CHAMPION in the 400m before Trevor started coaching him.
It' all about the special vitamins...
I'm sure Trevor will do wonders with Justin...Just like he has coached the fastest and arguably the most athletically gifted woman on Planet Earth to the ugliest and scariest long jump technique this side of Hellen Keller...
Point is, Justin should stay in Knoxville with Vince who light-years ahead of Trevor when it comes to coaching.
Whew...maybe I should take a nap...gettin' grouchy in my old age...
I am no fan of Trevor Graham (and he certainly isn't a long jump coach), I was simply stating that whatever tweaking he needs to do on Justin Gatlin, or any other talented sprinter, will not take a year's time. Whereas, field eventers, in particular, do need more time to adjust to new coach's techniques/regimen. I fully support your vitamin theory...
It is too our business, as it is with others on the pro track or road circuit. knowing these things adds to the sports professional image, and we all know that the lack of a professional image is screwing the sport in the US. We all know --or can easily find out-- what athletes in other sports earn. why not track?
... a warm glass of shut the hell up, now thats funny!
