Hot!
Good job aggies
Boulder Express put two teams in the money. Not bad. Tough course, and became very hot toward the end.
How'd it feel, Tobin?
Guess that settles any debate on what the top development club in Boulder is.
What development group are they? Or were they just pre-assembled to earn a buck? Do they even have a coach?!
Some education for ya:

Yeah, they are coached and train together. The second place women's team would fit that bill, though.

Yes, former world marathon record holder, Steve Jones coaches the club.
I don't know much about the whole club scene, but I have read that NYRR gave a significant donation to some other clubs around the country. I would think a team coached by the likes of Steve Jones would get some pretty good funding. Are they funded at all? Does anyone know?
Nice to see that Faith Byrum is coming back. She ran a very good 4th leg and from 30+ seconds down caught and passed the first-place girl from NC by 30 meters. Nikole Johns was passed in the third leg. In the report they got some of the names and legs mixed up.
I drive by the CU intermural fields every morning at 6:45. It seems like at least once a week I see Steve Jones out there yelling splits to a small army of guys (15-20).
I ran the race (half) this morning and noticed Jones' team won. The guys didn't seem to be sponsored, as they had white singlets and no warm-ups.
You have to like a guy who would win marathons wire to wire like it was the half-mile or something. I remember when he won NYC? in a t-shirt because his sponsor cut him. Since I don't recognize any of the guys out on the field or the names (other than Clint Wells) from the winning team, I'm guessing he's just coaching some local guys.

I thought that Clint Wells was coached by Hudson? What happened?

Brutal comes to mind...:) If it was just the heat, or just the altitude, or just the course, it wouldn't have been so bad...but the combination of all three made it hell. I had fun though. Good running, good experience. I wish there were more teams there. It was lonely out there for us.

Congrats to our women's team finishing 5th and in the money..:)

Was the course long? I realize that the course is at altitude but come on. Over 5 minute pace for the winning mens team. These guys were talking about beating THE HANSONS. Their entire team ran slower than SELL. They only ran a few seconds faster than VERRAN. They ran slower than MORGAN or EBERLY ran for the 25k this past weekend. It is a good thing that the HANSONS stayed home. This race would have been a run away.
Try running uphill for 12k to the finish. I bet that might slow the time a bit.
The race was east to west - heading tpwards the mountains so it was an uphill marathon.(though not steep) Generally does not help times. Plus desptie what people may say altitude does take a toll on people.
So was the course a net uphill or did someone else have the advantage of running downhill?
