This is super exciting. Pre super-spikes and bicarb brazier was destroying the likes of arop and hopple.
The 800m is a young man's game though, so I'm not super optimistic about what the results will be. Regardless, I'm rooting for him. Would be a great comeback story. Inspire us brazier!

He saw Hoppel run 1:41 and take away his AR. It no doubt crushed him. But no way will he crawl back to the top, not in honest fashion anyway.
What about for someone that started running 800 at age 23, and has been running for 2 years. Is this my prime or can i drop more time? I went 1:55 my first season and 1:54 the next. Tryna build my mileage up by doing more 1500 races and 1500 type training in order to close faster in the last 200m. Is this futile or am I able to progress more? IDK that much about running primes and stuff
Gents - Brazier running this weekend at Toad Fest in Nashville!!!
Wow, from not racing in three years to racing on back to back weekends. Also has there been any clarification on his training setup? I only heard about him doing PTF from Craig Engels IG and it seems Craig is also in TN, so assuming he's doing Toad Fest as well. But are they training together under Vanhoy? I'd heard Brazier was working with Mike Smith in Flag as part of Swoosh TC but not sure if that's confirmed? Still not seeing anything from Donovan himself but just seeing him on some start lists is exciting. Hopefully the stepping stones to a full comeback season!

Bro you have massive potential, potentially elite or even pro if this is true (and you're coming from a non endurance background). If you are smart and take your time you can PR through 30 to 32 years old. I would find a high level coach today and be entirely transparent with them.

I would guess he has time trialed an 800 already or at least a 600 and has some idea of what kind of shape he is in. My guess is these time trials point to at least a 1:46 or he wouldn’t enter a formal race. Whether he does that or not we will see shortly.

All the downvotes you get for an honest take. Brazier is never reaching his earlier heights. If he does, well, it would be due to pharmaceutical enhancement.

Ummm: CAM LEVINS???
Don’t hate on a guy for trying to get his career back. No need to write them off or their potential to revisit their prior success. I don’t see Brazier topping his PB’s, but I’m not going to talk crap about him if he wants to try a comeback.
