We could see a rise in regional disputes and proxy wars now that American hegemony has diminished. The chances of these coalescing into a broader world war is not very high.
Russia exposed its weakness by invading Ukraine and getting bogged down. Western Europe now sees that they drastically over estimated Russian military capabilities. They can't even force a 2nd or 3rd tier European power like Ukraine to submit in a 1v1. If Russia took on the EU alliance it would be a disaster.
The rise of air power and more recently advanced drone warfare has pretty much made any kind of global conflict impossible. The Ukraine war is only possible because both sides have tacit agreements to confine the war to a front line and some intermittent long range strikes. Both Ukraine and Russia have been able to move materiel and manpower into and out of the front lines. In a world war, air power would simply gobble up the movement of any country's military power into the war theater. There would never be a 21st century D-day because long range bombers, drones and cruise missiles would take out all the naval forces transporting troops and weapons to the beachhead.
Also, in the days of WWII, military service was seen as a right of passage for all young men. It was an opportunity to prove yourself and for lower classes to move up in the world by cashing in your rank for a good job when the war was over. Today, military service is largely seen as an anachronism and most people join the military because there is no other prospects for them. Massing the numbers needed to fight in a world war is simply not possible as most people would resist conscription.
Considering the recent conflicts (Ukraine, Gaza, Taiwan, India-Pakistan, Yemen), it's likely going to be a war between the judeo-christian civilization (with Hindu support) against the barbaric islamo-marxists.

The dark side: China, Russia, Iran, Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah and Pakistan

Very good question. I wonder about that myself. However, like many others, I can visualize a scenario where Israel drags us into a major conflict.

The matrix wants increased warmongering and warfare. By killing off their biggest threat, many young/strong/independent thinking men, they can control the people to the most evil, fullest extent. A female/elderly/child dominated population is an obedient amd government reliant one. Time to wake up. Time to resist the advancing of war by the selfish politicians who will NOT be fighting on the front lines. They'll be sitting back in a chair, collecting and laundering funds like Zelensky and the Biden crime family/friends.
