People on this platform are buying Kerley's narrative hook, line, and sinker based on his publicist's statement. None of us know the full story, but it’s in his interest to paint himself as the victim. Whether he’s in the right or not, this statement is a strategic win for his image.
Considering my wife does corporate communications, I'm a firm believer in hiring someone to help you in a situation like this, so I hope he didn't write it. Means he's being smart in dealing with it as it's a serious matter and his career is on the line.
I have one quibble with your statement. He wasn't arrested because he exercised his Miranda rights.
He was arrested because there was a fight at a hotel. A woman told the cop that Fred hit her. The cop asked Fred for his version of events. He exercised his right to remain silent. That doesn't mean the cop has to let him go. Then at that point, it's her version of events (and I think she showed signs of being hit) vs nothing else, so it's logical for the cop to arrest Fred.
Surprised the cop didn't talk to more witnesses.

No, what happened was the cops asked him to speak, Fred refused to speak so the cops arrested him presuming he was guilty. As Wejo pointed out, did the cops bother to speak with any other witnesses, other than the lady who complained?

Which wife? Trump's first ex-wife divorced him and accused him of assaulting her in a deposition. E Jean Carroll also accused him of assaulting her (and he was found liable in court for that). If you're looking for someone who's respectful and non-violent towards women, Trump isn't your guy

The statement is terrible and written by someone only slightly more literate than Kerley. Sentences don' start with the word "rather" as that suggests a continuation of the previous sentence. "It resulted from my decision to exercise remain silent..." makes no sense and is grammatically abhorrent. The word enforcement isn't hyphenated and even if it was, there would not be one at the end. The whole statement is littered with illiteracy.
If Kerley wrote this, he did exponentially better than I would have expected. If Kerley paid someone to write this, that's the next person he needs to find and kick their a$$!

It seems you speak fluent Kerleyese and clearly don't notice the abysmal grammar in that statement. Considering you are rocking a 75 IQ tops, this is unsurprising.

Exactly. Does Fred think invoking the 5th amendment is a get out of jail free card? As long as the police did not try to interrogate him after requesting an attorney his rights were not violated.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest it was the fact that he was fighting someone in a public place that had more to do with his arrest than "exercising his Miranda Rights", according to him.
