Sure, maybe Gout had a Fahnbulleh-esque start last year and in his early races this year. But you can clearly see the work he's put in to change that. In his 100m heat he was absolutely flying (yes, the wind was illegal). Gout doesn't just walk out of the blocks in most races. In this one he did because there were 2 false starts earlier so obviously he didn't get quite the start execution of those first 2

Lyles' splits were actually 10.07 and 9.24 in that race. I think Total Running Productions just made up 10.15 and 9.16 because it seemed realistic enough and then ran with it

He is so skinny and physically undeveloped right now. Obviously his times are great for a runner of his age, but whats more exciting is that his biggest weakness (poor start) will be vastly improved with more time in the sport and especially more muscle.
He is super impressive and he has Australia captivated.
Genuinely becoming one of the biggest sports stars here - across all sports. Only comparison is Cathy Freeman and he is much more comfortable being a star than she ever was.
She was an amazing athlete, but never felt a natural personality. This guy loves the attention and is very engaging.
