I won't run in super shoes because my feet and arches or ankles require low stack shoes to feel right.
I have mixed feelings on their allowance. I wish world athletics had disallowed spring plates from the get go. Now road racing could be manipulated by whichever company has the best engineers. I like the stack height limit for the track. Its obvious that world athletics knows engineering, not just talent and training play a role. I'm not as against pace lights and super tracks as they can be used by every athlete on the track, not just the one with the best company.
Its obvious world athletics knows plates provide unfair advantages to athletes with the best tech. This is why they were disallowed on the track. I think max stack height for the track should be 22mm to allow the streak lt, but maybe wa knows something I don't about how a plate could get into a shoe with 21 mm stack. Since the genie is out of the bag, they could at least disallow shoes not READILY commercially available to prevent unfair advantages - but they allow prototypes because palms were greased. There should perhaps be a max msrp limit too for shoes so that a talented but unsponsored poor athlete can still compete at a top level.
