Personally, I found it fascinating. Would someone break? Would they just wait until the last lap? Will they do this in the 3k as well now?
I’m not saying I don’t like a fast race, but the wave-light 3 pacers races get a bit monotonous. The Olympics and WC races far more exciting. IMO.
Last night’s race and a paced, fast race are not the only two options. A competitive race where guys are challenging each other, trying to break the other guy during the race is what should have happened last night. You know, guys actually racing a 5k. Instead we got a race where high school Danny Simmons would have lapped the winner.
