I kid you not, Boston's training is a real challenge. The weather there is so unpredictable; one minute it's scorching hot and the next it's freezing cold. And let's not even start on the lack of soft surfaces. It's a nightmare that messes you up destroys you. Each step feels like a battle. Boston training is rough, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. No way it’s good for Parker as a 10k specialist.
I live in the city of Boston and do about 60% of my mileage on trails, all runs leaving from my front door. The trails themselves are primarily in Cutler Park/Millennium Park and include Boston and nearby suburbs. Yesterday was 10 miles and 7.5 of those were on proper trails. I can also run to other trail systems and many paths and parks, including Arnold Arboretum.
If I hop in my car there are many surrounding trail systems that are excellent. Berkshire County, still in MA and a 2 hour drive away, is a massively underrated running paradise for both roads and trails. The Charles River paths are extensive and many very fast runners so a lot of miles there. The Arnold Arboretum seems custom-made for running.
I grew up XC skiing in the winter as a sport (in Berkshire County, MA) and we also ran all winter using innovations known as socks, hats and gloves. Sometimes even pants and jackets. I still love winter running. You just...run, and the weather provides a nice challenge and distraction. Beats the heck out of running in the heat, which we also do here.
Boston is filled with runners and running culture, great clubs at all levels, many indoor tracks, and lots of heroes and lore. Follow Graham Blanks if you want to see many of the great route options. Graham, like Boston, is underrated.
Enjoy your running, folks, and spread positivity.
Boston sucks pretty hard for running. It’s a fact.
Its known that PV does not like Boston or new balance apparel or footwear. It was a money decision not a passion decision, and she misses Florida and running in better footwear and outfits.

It's funny that not one person on this thread can confirm or deny if she is still a member of New Balance Boston. In every other professional sport if an athlete were to a leave a team, fans would know in less than 12 hours. If Luka Doncic decided he didn't like being in LA and decided to just leave, every NBA fan would know before the day was through. In pro running, us fans are not even allowed to know whether a very popular distance runner is still running professionally, let alone still on a sponsorship team or not. No wonder Track and Field is unpopular. It has this culture of arrogant secrecy for no good reason.

Why would anyone need to confirm that she is still with the sponsor she signed less than a year ago?
If she left the brand, those making that claim are the ones required to demonstrate proof. So far, nothing.

Not a Good Call⬆️
NBA is a Team sport. These training groups are called a team, but they're just training groups with (usually) a common sponsor. They don't compete as a team, ever.

Exactly - there are just anonymous people on this thread making things up. Professional athletes in any sport don't spend time responding time to made up lies on the internet.
