Have to wonder if Puma's issues are coming from the top. Amy Cragg's career ended because of chronic fatigue - could it have been caused by underfueling for years?
That's cruel. If she does have an ED (which may very well be the case), it's a disease. Don't mock her. EDs can kill people.
She doesn't. She's training hard and racing hard. You guys and your "I see one picture" and this is my thoughts. Yikes! Leave the lady alone, she's fine
Oh, so it’s normal for a young athlete athlete to casually end up with a femoral fracture? A fracture in the strongest bone of the body that is typically only seen in 80 year old women who have fallen?
She is not fine. She is walking right into career ending osteoporosis.

It definitely happens, that was the same injury that Des Linden had in 2012 and I don't think many people would suspect an ED/underfueling there. But Fiona has other signs
Carrie Tollefson said in the broadcast “it is great to see Fiona healthy again”. This is everything that is wrong in this situation. The fact that she can run has nothing to do with her being healthy. Carrie you are sending the wrong message to young girls.

Didn’t hear the broadcast, but it’s likely CT was referring to her being recovered from her Olympics injury. 🙄

An eating disorder was her injury that caused her to drop at the Olympics. The femoral stress fracture was a symptom.

Hmmm... I wouldn't say she "casually" ended up with a femoral fracture. She's an elite athlete who trains for the marathon. In case you're not aware, this requires running long hard miles which can be "STRESSFUL" on the body. FYI- femoral stress fractures are not uncommon among elite high mileage athletes. That being said, I do agree that Fiona is underweight and would benefit from adding more muscle. This can be done with a well thought out nutritional plan from a competent dietician. Puma and her coach should be exploring this and probably are.
Fiona O'Keefe and Taylor Roe both do not look healthy these days despite having these big breakthroughs. There was a period of time when Natosha Rogers was looking like she was flirting with taking things too far while she was running quite well, although she's never looked as unhealthy as those two. And isn't Koko in this group?
If it were just one athlete, that would be one thing but the concerning part of this group is it seems like it's multiple athletes.

I believe her family and coach are concerned and Fiona is receiving professional help, but it’s not a problem that can easily be solved by a competent dietician. There is definitely a psychological component to the condition.

Yeah...
I'm a huge Taylor Roe fan. She's gutsy and pushes hard, and it's awesome to see her able to increase mileage and already reap the benefits. Comparing her to other athletes around her age (Valby, Wayment, Orton Morgan, Tuohy) she looks different.
