I currently do 100% of my mileage in the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 3. Super supportive shoe that feels good, I honestly just can’t think of any reason to run in something else
I usually only use it on workouts like my recent one at HM pace so I know how they'll respond for that race I'm gonna use em for. Also, I like that special feeling you get when putting them on race morning and wearing them everyday would dilute that feeling imo.
can anyone suggest a non-spike super shoe for racing the 800 and mile on the track. My daughter runs in a community that has mostly hard asphalt tracks, so they only get to wear spikes when the travel and or during championship season.

^This. I still have the original vaporfly I bought five years ago.
I normally buy one pair of Vapor's per year for racing and use the older ones for trainers. I'm lucky to get 300 miles in before the sole's are shredded .
Two double T days done in vaporflies, so about 25-30% of total mileage. All other days done in the Pegasus. This is standard for the whole team. We do not have many injuries. Very, very few.
I think the shoes protect against injury (but I have no real proof).
It does protect against injury in the sense that it's so light that you can have more foam without sacrificing performance all that much. More foam means more shock absorption means you get banged up less over the course of a long run.
So you can have the similar quality of run as with a regular fast trainer but without the same recovery cost.

Thanks for this feedback. I am about to retire my vaporfly. So I can still use it for workout?
Mid 40s, 25ish miles per week, occasional race, was able to bang out a few "super shoe" times not too far removed from my 30s.
Endorphin pros for sure help legs but do a number on my achillies.
Outside of races, use them 4 or 5 times per month mostly for tempo/intervals or if my mid-level xc kids need help pacing a targeted workout. Anything slower than 730, at least for me, and they just don't feel right.
100%. I can get more than 2000 km out of Adidas models (currently I own new AP 4 and AP 3 with 1800 km) and at least 1000 km out of Nike shoes (my VF 3 is currently at 800 km, and AF 3 at 500 km). So if I buy 2, maybe 3 pairs per year, I cannot afford to run in anything else, because three pairs easily get me to my yearly 4000-5000km. I will never understand why some people retire shoes at 500 km, especially adidas foams last forever.
I will probably not buy Nike anymore, AP 3 is great also for easy/recovery runs, but VF3/AF3 are really only meant for fresh legs and faster runs, so it would be difficult having only Nike models.
