This is such a straw man. None of these people criticizing his diet are saying that he shouldn't have carbs after exercising. They're complaining about synthetic ingredients that could potentially pose health risks.
To be clear, I think a lot of people are way too scared of synthetic ingredients. The evidence that they're dangerous in the quantities most people consume is limited...but it isn't absent. The FDA just banned Red Dye 3 because it is linked to cancer in rats, and it has long been banned in other countries. It's entirely possible that other synthetic ingredients have as-yet unproven risks. It isn't "misinformation" to argue that people should reduce their consumption of those kinds of foods. So while I love me some Cinnamon Toast Crunch after a morning workout, I completely understand why some people think it's safer to stick to oatmeal with honey.
