More than happy to say he is taking performance enhancing drugs to him direct.
I would ask does he take EPO injection, the testosterone and growth hormones tablets at the same time. Or at different points in the week depending on sessions.
Im not sure anyone can’t see the shift in the US athletes performance post covid.
one thing it sure ain’t the shoes they are wearing
Sure you would tough guy.
I would love to see that. Grant Fisher would beat the snot out of you.
That would prove he isn't doping? Or show 'roid rage?
Why can’t it just be the shoes, plus the bicarb? As someone else pointed out, this is essentially a post-Covid phenomenon, coinciding with the advent of the new shoe era. I know they’re worth one second per lap for the high school athlete; I witnessed it, especially during the first year or two post transition.
Maybe they are worth only 0.5 sec per lap for the well trained professional, but, remember, they also allow these guys to train harder and do more quality work without totally destroying their legs. Add in the bicarb, and you’re at one second per lap, *minimally,* so 7.5 seconds over a 3000 and 12.5 over a 5000. Is that really so unbelievable? A 12:56+ from an uber-talented Grant Fisher before shoes/bicarb? That Cole Hocker really is just a 3:29-dude with an awesome kick? Because this is the reality if you are being honest and not a completely disingenuous dolt.
I mean it was acclaimed Kiwi, Nick Willis, who first offered the shoes were worth 2.5 seconds per 1500. Not my words, his. And there have been plenty of research papers to back it up, the efficiency gains from the shoes. Too bad Willis didn’t have these in his absolute prime.
So Nick has done study on this or was just blowing off the top of his head? If he is correct we would see every athlete who has used the shoes has made that degree of improvement. Have they? How also do we not know that doping is a factor in their improvement when it undoubtedly plays a part in elite athletics? Have the other "shoe" studies taken that into account? I would say absolutely not.
No you don't because you don't know if drugs were involved or not. And don't say you do know - unless you're claiming to be Fisher. Also, no one who uses drugs EVER admits to it. Ask Shelby.

Multiple studies have now shown that some athletes respond more favorably to some super shoes than other super shoes, and to the same super shoes than other athletes. I'd speculate that some athletes also respond more favorably to certain track surfaces than other athletes do. But sure, there are other variables that we don't know about such as, but not limited to, doping.

So what does "respond more favorably to" amount to? How many seconds in a race? Some athletes probably respond to better sleep or taking more liquids. Anything might be beneficial. (How about drugs?) But across the board and to a measurable extent? That's speculation - and, in the case of shoes, marketing. But doping - well, there's a known superpower. Countless athletes do it, for that reason.

You are a science denier. A flat-earther.
Since I say science has driven the enormous gains in the sport and especially through drugs I would say I am the opposite.

You can joke about old, but Mars/Nike/Jordan should be required reading for anyone interested in branding.
The odd marriage of young Spike Lee, young MJ, and high top basketball shoes is the single biggest factor in the worldwide explosion of Nike and the Air Jordan.
The idea of sports, art, music and culture all being linked came from this campaign.
Nike, Spike, MJ, AirJordans, and Wieden&Kennedy all ended up being household names and worth $billions off this advertising.
Very nice homage from Fisher, and of course even funnier with current discussion around carbon plate super shoes.

Well, except for the many who have admitted it.
They don't. Those who are caught always have an excuse. Those who aren't caught never own up.
