I'm as sure he's clean as I am about anyone. He's given me no reason to suspect him at all.
But it's also true that if someone from any other country had his progression, people on this board would be going mental with accusations of doping and Rojo would mention it every time their name came up.
You have people beating Daniel Komen on his best days and Americans are saying the times are clean. It’s amazing the level of hypocrisy on here. The East Africans during the EPO era were dirty (which they were), but no not our Golden boys , not our captain America. Cap is a good guy he would never
Either the entire sport top to bottom is dirty or Hocker should be considered clean until proven otherwise.
Just today, Lutkenhaus ran 1:46, Hoey 1:43, Nuguse 3:46, Kessler 3:46, Fisher 7:22, Hocker 7:23. We have college guys running 3:48 and 7:30, and last year 12:xx and 26:xx. Women running sub 14 and sub 29. 2:09 women's marathon and nearly sub 2 on the mens' side.
My kids' HS has had 2 guys in the last couple years running 420s as FR who aren't even training that much. High schoolers ran 13:25 and 15:25 last year
People are just better in every place you turn.
Out of the sick times I mentioned, which one is the most suspicious? They're all great! Why do you think Hocker is dirty? Guy has been solid since high school, 1:51 800m and Foot Locker Champion, that's great range. He was more accomplished than Fisher in college and it's surprising that after a few years as a pro he's this good? Too many people on this site sleep on Hocker.
Hocker's breaking the 1500 WR this year. Someone will jeer at this prediction just like they did when I said he'd go 327-328 for the win in Paris. I'll have the laugh last again.
Yeah, the guy that runs as few meets as he can to avoid in competition tests is clean. Just happens to drop out of a meet that is likely to set a WR (=doping control). Guess his lab guy told him that he wasn’t clear so he couldn’t participate.
Title. Jumps from 3:30 to 3:27 and now is running almost 7:22 after being a 7:30 guy. Is this supposed to be believable?
You have to remember in 2024 he finally was able to get a whole training block healthy and has remained healthy, so a lot of the improvement can be attributed to that. It’s not like he was he was a scrub before, he was still 6th in Tokyo and top 10 in the 2023 World Championships. The extra strength gained from a healthy training block could be the best explanation for why he’s a phenom now.
Having said that, he may still be juiced. It’s likely that almost everybody at the pro level is juiced and it’s easier than we realize to avoid positive tests. I’m sure he was juiced since the NCAA. It’s a wash if everyone does it.
Mo Katir’s rapid improvement was far more suspicious. He went from being barely a sub 14 guy to running 12:50 in less than a year. Everyone could see the writing on the wall. Cole’s success has been far more linear when you account for injuries. He was already an NCAA champ and ran fairly well, far better than Katir. The jump is more believable.

Pretty sure Hocker, Fisher, Nguse, Hoey, et al are clean. 99.9% certain.
Have you seen YouTube videos about Hocker, training at Virginia Tech? He's like a lab rat, ingesting a ton of supplements every day, all legal, obviously, he also mentions in the videos that he's constantly tested. Just saying.
