A good race for Allie but she's still getting SMOKED by Lauren Gregory who is also a trail runner.
Why isn't Allie running indoor track races? She said she wanted to get back to focusing on track/steeplechase. I think running some 3ks indoors would help her more than this half.
She said she fears she’d get injured running indoor track. Also she had to take time off in December for surgery, so this Half build was sort of like base training/aerobic focus before track
1:05 is actually very solid for him, happy to see it, he seemed a bit down in his last video, time to go to the roads and run some halfs and maybe the marathon at some point. I mean he definitely could get under a 2:18 with that half for the 2028 trials.
Half debut for Allie, first race since neck surgery in December. She said she hopes to run 70-72min. Philly's PB is 72, but her 2:25 Berlin Marathon suggest she could go sub-70. However she's early in her training block for London (she said not tapered or aiming for a PB), after an iron deficiency that lead her to DNF a 10k and scratch from the Houston Half. How have you got?
Again with the made up lies!
It's not her first race since neck surgery. She is not in a training block for London. She did not have an iron deficiency that led her to DNF a 10K and she was never signed up for the Houston Half.
The shrooms you are on are not working out for you.
It's Allie's first race since neck surgery, it's on her YouTube.
Philly has openly discussed her training block for being elite in London on Youtube.
Philly has openly discussed her 10k DNF and Iron on her Youtube.
Watch videos and shut up.
You are correct about London and the DNF, I misread it and thought they were saying that about Allie. As for her first race back, it's not. A race is a race and this is one.

I think both are good for the sport. I enjoy their content as well. Allie has the better chops but this is not her distance, yet. Phillys iron deficiency probably sets her back further in training. Allie has has a better stretch of running fitness. (Surgery was not running related). Allie ends up faster than Philly (I think Philly is also traveling further and Allie has been at altitude in Boulder now for a few months ) but neither actually win the women’s race.
Most of the strava uploads for the runners that ran today also showed a moderate tailwind of 5 mph from the east. Half times were probably 45-60s faster than a flat record eligible course and 2-4 minutes for the marathon depending on an individual's downhill running skills.
