Interesting. Talk about hypocrisy. I find it odd you’re blasting people for being a Valby fan, yet you just searched for a random picture from forever ago of Jessica Hull (could have just put her name). Odd …

She is setting the bar low. "Just finishing the race would be a success for me".

Don’t sleep on Wudu. She just turned 20 in January. She ran 8:32 a year ago, which is U20 world record. She ran a 14:39 5000M in 2023 at age 18.
I think Valby will place around 5th-6th with something in the 8:30s.

BTW, I do think Valby will run faster than 8:43 (which would equal Tuohy's mark in the mile).
I'm pretty sure Tuohy has run faster than 8:43 for the mile.

Tuohy just ran a 4:25. What will Valby run in the 3000?
Over/Under is Tuohy's time converted - so that would be an 8:43.5 (using the new World Athletics tables for indoor times).
What do you think? Does Valby open with a time under or over 8:43.5 or not?
Secondly, here is the field. Who do you think takes the win?
- Georgia Bell GBR
- Emma Coburn USA
- Melissa Courtney-Bryant GBR
- Elise Cranny USA
- Sarah Healy IRL
- Jessica Hull AUS
- Dani Jones USA
- Emily Mackay USA
- Lea Meyer GER
- Hannah Nuttall GBR
- Parker Valby USA
- Sintayehu Vissa ITA
- Melknat Wudu ETH
Shelby's 8:31 is putting this field ON NOTICE!! Question is how many will be disappointed if the arent close to or beat her time...especially with the added pep at NB,

I asked 50,000 people around Boston this past week if they know of Parker Valby.
Not a single one said yes
There is no Valbymania.
Obviously, you are a foreigner and not from this beautiful country. Jealousy is a spiteful emotion and prevents one from seeing joy in life.
Valby: “I’ve basically kept what I was doing in college, added one more day of running…still cross training most of the easy miles.”
She also referenced having teammates to train with who are “a lot better than me….especially in the 1500.”
