But what about three games of rec soccer each week? He was a soccer player before he was a runner, so you know he can move around that field for 90 minutes! It never said he can't "stay active" so I think it comes down to how you define that. With soccer, he might be really fast.
In HS we always had kids who came to the XC team after being cut from soccer and they were often shockingly good despite the fact that they claimed to have "never run before."
