Hocker is not likely to beat either Kerr or Ingebrigtsen ever again, or break 3:30, ever again.
Just like he wasn't likely to win an NCAA title, or a US Title, or make the olympic finals, or beat Nuguse again, or break 3:30 or win an olympic title.....
What is LRC's obsession with doubting Hocker? It's bizarre.
This has aged tremendously. I do feel that if it wasn’t such a head to head between Kerr and Ingebrigtsen, especially with the battle on the home straight, it would have been a different outcome. JI tried so hard to block Kerr he let Hocker have a clear path to the line, but fair play for the final sprint to get there!

He needs to do it one more time. I think people have a hard time believing in a guy who can't do it on a week to week basis. to some that makes what he does feel flukey.
but it's not. you can see his success in the meets that matter over the past 3 years. when he's healthy, he shows up on the dates that count.
