“Eventually, Lex and Leo became two of the most highly touted high school recruits in the country ever. Lex owns the record for the [2nd] fastest 5k ever run by a high schooler, 13:34.96, while Leo clocked one of the fastest high school boys 1,500 meters times in history.” (3:39:39).
have you never looked at the seed times for any event at the HS or college level before? Go back to the december meet at BU and look at the mile seed times. Coaches push the limits as far as they can to get their athletes in the best heat possible.

Lex and Leo Young both just ran 7:57 and 7:54 respectively in the 3K today! Both look like they are in excellent shape to run a sub-4 mile or at least get close to it! Especially Leo!
dawg they ran the same times or worse than last year, they are not going sub 4 especially having had doubled. maybe sub 4 later in the season but right now they are still in their washed college era.
Such an overrated and overhyped duo of runners. The way you guys talk about them like they have ran 3:50 in the mile and neither have broken 4.
On this, to be fair while no huge fan ..clearly Leo's 3:40 in HS is a below 4 conversion and by a bit. I also don't think these 3K's indicate sub 4 . They are in an Elite College program and have not improved much if at all really.

The are in A College program...not sure we can call it elite anymore...see their xc team in the fall, and look up threads on what they did to mishandle their best track distance guy last spring.
