T&F news named Mondo as their athlete of the year. Pretty much every event group is clear cut in my opinion for who they will choose. Here is what I think:
Lyles was the best in 100, Tebogo in the 200, Quincy Hall or Mathew Hudson Smith in the 400, Wanyonyi in the 800, Ingebrigtsen in the 5000 (I count his 3000m WR as part of this group), Cheptegei in the 10000, El Bakkali in the Steeple, Holloway in the 110 Hurdles, and Benjamin in the 400 Hurdles. However, I’m not so sure about the 1500….
I’m not going to give a straight answer, I’ll just lay it out and see what you guys decide. This is between Ingebrigtsen, Kerr, Hocker, and Nuguse:
