This is incorrect. UCLA is still under probation because of Brosnan, if they had additional violations it would have been a much bigger punishment than this. There are no new violations.
The fact is that both UCLA and the NCAA have said that Brosnan committed violations. They even vacated their results from those seasons.
Brosnan hired a high powered attorney to prolong the investigation, which is still ongoing. Brosnan is wasting a ton of money for something that would have had a minimal punishment for himself.
If he admitted he was wrong, he'd probably have another NCAA job by now. Instead, he is unemployed and he is wasting tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees. If he's found guilty shortly before his book's release, it will surely hurt sales. Brosnan misplayed his hand.
