You are right, of course, that I shouldn't speak for everyone. I just meant "we" in the sense of "in civil society" we don't usually use "disgust" to describe things like this.

For example, if Galen was at a party with us or on a run, we wouldn't use this kind of language or respond with the emotion of "disgust." If we got a chance to talk to him about what running for Alberto was like, we might tell him that it seems super sketchy and that after everything we've seen over the years, it is hard to believe anyone at the upper end of our sport.

But "we" would not corner him and put a finger in his chest to tell him that we are disgusted with his new gig as a TV announcer.

Yep. That is true. I upvoted you. I should also have been more clear because I was only thinking of the men (Shalane is clearly on his level as well).

In my mind, I think the difference between those guys/gals and Galen was that they mostly had a peak year or two in that decade. Galen was literally the 10x national champ and was competing at the highest level the whole time. Jager, I think, was closest to being at the top the whole time...

I suspect you don’t have an impeccable past. If someone suspected of you doing anything out of lines and posted it here, you would be spun out, wether you were guilty or not.

I am sure Rupp and Rowbury are fine. You also have living legends such as Shorter, Virgin, Klecker, and many others who would bring lots of fan interest to the game!
