Just missing that almost any pancake recipe has some butter/oil and eggs involved, and milk too. Though he could get real minimalist (read: bad) one that is add water one.
A lot of it's ultra-processed, which is surprising, as it's been prescribed by a dietitian.
- Pancake mix, 0% greek yoghurt (if it's had the fat removed, it's been replaced by something else), an electrolyte packet, a carbohydrate gel, electrolyte powder, corn tortillas (yes, heavily processed), and all of the dietary supplements (especially if they contain additives to make them more palatable).
These things are all ultra-processed, so I'd hardly call this a clean diet.
However, it may be an enormous improvement on what he was previously eating.
Josh Kerr, King of the Mile, clearly eats like a champion. I do feel he should have skipped dinner and went into fasting. He had eaten 4 times before the race, all he needed was coffee and taurine and not more food.
Mods, why did Khamis make another registered account?
You guys are missing one profound implication of this: i.e., he isn't a vampire. This conclusion is also confirmed by his ability to accept silver at the Olympics. Conversely, since interview is an endorsement of the pliability app suggests he might be a shapeshifter. For pliability is the ability to bend easily into a new shape without breaking or cracking, or the degree to which a substance can do this. This is ambiguous and could refer either to Kerr or the app as something potentially edible. Such a scenario, though unlikely, would make total calorie intake in relation to energy expenditure during training less anomalous as regards his BMI. Also, didn't he eat Jakob for dinner at the last WC? The calories and slow release of energy would tide him over for at least a year. Not much further can be surmised at present and more research is needed. Follow Josh Kerr 2 and 3 for further details. T
7:30am: Breakfast consists of 1/2 cup gluten-free pancake mix, topped with 3 tablespoons of organic maple syrup, 1/4 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup raspberries, and 1/2 cup 0% plain Greek yogurt. I drink 600ml of water mixed with one packet of electrolytes and 10-15g of collagen, along with a cup of coffee and 5g of taurine.
10:45am: Pre-workout gel at the start of my warm up. After training I have a recovery drink made with 25g of whey protein mixed with 70g of electrolyte powder and three grams of dietary supplement hydroxymethylbutyrate.
12:30pm: For lunch I eat two slices of gluten-free sourdough bread with 4oz chicken breast, 1/2 a small avocado, two tablespoons of avocado oil mayo, plus a side of cucumbers and baby plum tomatoes.
4pm: Snack of a beef stick and string cheese.
6pm: For dinner I have barbacoa tacos – 6oz beef rump served with four corn tortillas, homemade salsa, 1/2 avocado and a
salad of rocket, tomato, cucumber and red cabbage.
Why don't they eat normal food like tuna sandwiches, beans on toast, roast dinner, meat and potatoe pie etc? That's what I eat and I'm leaner than kerr (125-130 lbs, 5'10).
Quite a few people are apparently decided that a guy can run 3.27 1500, in his 3rd 1500m race in 5 days, whilst not eating enough. Really? He clearly has to manage his weight - was historically a tubby U20/U23 for the amazing times he ran for his then weight. It looks a fairly bland micro-managed diet tho I reckon that 99% of runners would adhere to it if adhering to it gave the results and experiences he's having. I would, and I like loads of cake daily.
