Courtney Dauwalter Is Very Suspicious, "Wins" Nice Côte d’Azur 100 Miler While Wearing Long Boardshorts

If "shorts too long" has to be a new indicator of suspicious behavior, we are all in big trouble. I can't keep track of all the things that trigger red flags on this site:

1. too good
   
2. too consistant
   
3. too up and down
   
4. out of nowhere
   
5. Russian, African, Italian, North African, or Nike athlete
   
6. Friends with a doper
   
7. Coach coached a doper
   
8. "overly nice"
   
9. too thin to be natural
   
10. wrong progression
    
11. and now I have to watch out for people who win in the wrong kind of shorts? That is too much for me to handle.
    

To be fair. Many of those points are indeed reason to be suspicious:
1. too good
4. out of nowhere
5. Russian, African, Italian, North African, or Nike athlete
6. Friends with a doper
7. Coach coached a doper
10. wrong progression

(well, African includes North African, obvi, and you forgot Spanish)

That's 6 out of 11. Non-ideal shorts would clearly matter in Olympic disciplines too. In a 100 miler, not really.

I am not even a YUGE fan of ultras and only casually follow the bigger races and even I know she always wears shorts like that. In fact I have never seen a picture / video of her at a race where she is not wearing longer shorts. It’s like her trademark. Get over it. She’s quite talented at those ridiculously long races.

But then you have to ask yourself why Dauwalter wears the ridiculously long shorts and t-shirts that even men don't wear. Is she hiding a different set of clothing under the baggy shorts and t-shirt? Have you ever witnessed her run a whole race? Not just the start and finish lines?

To think - if true - this would not be the first board short wearing yutz who got popped for cheating in races.

Some years back now there was a clown who wore board shorts and won tons of road races for bits of prize money and then got popped for epo.

That's called "cashing in", doesn't provide any evidence that she ran the whole race in those ridiculously long baggy shorts

All good questions. The race was filmed from start to finish, so you could've easily watched live or cruised the replays later for the answers rather than post here. Since she's the star, they had a camera on her most of the race. Her location was also visible and moving real-time on the race live tracker.

How about not showing up to UTMB when they had doping tests for the first time. Joke.

If this isn't you Camille/Conor, why would you even make a point to say that in the first place? That's rather odd.

She is Supreme Trail Speed Walker of all time. Not something most of us aspire, but some like to continuously punch themselves in the nuts.

It seems to me that in order to seek time in the "pain cave" one could simply punch themself in the face or groin for hours at a time, or perhaps have someone slap them every time they try to nod off for a few weeks.

Trail running really is a form of self torture. Bizarre, but whatever.

Yeah, and they sell em for $80. It wouldn’t surprise me if she wore compression shorts underneath—saw a photo once of her from a different race where it definitely looked like the case. I used to run in baggy shorts and there’s a reason I switched to standard running shorts. I think she’s far more intentional about building her brand than most people would assume (not a bad thing, she’s obviously skilled at it).

So Dauwalter deflected the question. How typical.
