Kathleen Simms was part of the HS graduating class of 2018 and was announced as part of Furman’s recruiting class. She raced once for Furman in the fall of 2018 transferring to Loyola Chicago. I’m not going to check all your work…
I hope Gault/Rojo/Wejo look into this. l like Gault's writing.
Haven't seen anything on Advanced Running (reddit) either. They are VERY strict about what gets posted.
Runnit, Advanced Running and ARTC are basically run by the same 10 guys, a mix of mods and power users who are all friends. They only care about training advice and talking about theirs and other followers' race results. I wouldn't be surprised if the mods among them were taking down most topical posts like this. They're not a particularly open minded group, and they moderate/brigade accordingly.
Thank you for confirming my hunch.
Good point about ARTC. They are cliquey too, plus there was a whole thing about one of them self-promoting his own biz (to be fair I do't blame the others for being mad at him).
I think ARTC is run out of Ohio somewhere, a place called CRC? (Columbus Run Company) but I could be wrong.
AdvancedRunning can be useful, but it's not quite as good as LRC in terms of training advice and very specific training tips (Double Threshold, Hadd, Kellogg, Canova, Tinman, etc.).

deleting comments and restricting former athletes from posting on a recent article. How is this journalism? If you want to share a story, share BOTH sides of the story.
I'm normally of the opinion that Citius gets way too much crap from angry weirdos on letsrun. Not this time.
Imagine helping cover up a notable and repeated pattern of abuse on a team. Disgusting stuff.
100%.
Was excited when Citius first entered the running space because I thought they could do what LRC was doing but in a different way. Someone likened them to cheerleaders and I think that's spot on. They don't challenge LRC when they miss on certain issues. & now they have something like this & handle it poorly. It's kind of like when Dems get all preachy but then default to a weak position when seriously pressed on the morals/values they say that they have. In fairness, LRC does plenty of stuff like this with zero explanation or rationale for deleting comments/conversation. The sites have a right to do that but we have a right to voice displeasure.
Could tell without even watching/reading them they are in the business of pandering and soft-balling athletes. For all their faults Letsrun won't shy away from the hard questions.
This sort of thing fueled the mass vitriol Kevin Beck and others had and have towards running "journalism". When it's not reporting actual news and race results, it's nothing more than a PR outlet. Citius is certainly no exception to the problem.
Beck has opinions I disagree with and he's prickly but to his credit he's still at least trying to get news out. I think the running space is so small that things he said in the past harmed his reputation.
Super pumped about TRACK: ALL ACCESS on youtube and ig now. Guy seems like he's in it for the good reasons, I believe he's a good guy. Pretty solid content and his little single wheel thing is so funny. Hopefully we get something like that more in the vein of what citius mag does now with the same vibes.

Since when is this news? Citius, like letsrun are not displays of journalism, they are both forms of entertainment.

This is accurate. LRC has some flaws but they are more honest in some ways. I trust them more than Citius.
