ahhhh….could you expound on this? Stinky crotch? Deal breaker.
You know some guys are into that. 😯
Been on the wrong end of that (quite literally) a few times….can’t imagine anyone seeking that out while doing the K9. Major buzz kill and makes you wonder if bad parenting was involved or at least a missed hygiene lesson. 😱😱😱

I dated a runner, married her 6 years later. I'm the talentless one in the relationship so we can do easy runs together and she will even beat me in some races. I think in 2022 we finished back to back in eight races. Its a great way to spend time together, our highest mileage week was when I ran a 90 mile week and she ran 80 and we ran 70 of those together. It's fun to go to the same races, watch diamond league together, travel to '23 Worlds together, keep in shape together, have the same running groups/friends. Sure the house gets a little disorganized when we are both in the thick of training, we have a large number of shoes, do laundry often, and eat a ton of food (compared to if we were not runners). It can be tough if one is injured because we don't get those ~5-7 hours a week running together.
All of this is secondary to our shared values and life goals of course, we know that injuries/age could take running from us and it would be OK.

Funny thing about showering, as an athlete who runs once or twice a day the only time that you are used to showering is after running. If you get injured and can't run you almost forget to shower sometimes. So I will say it is a little hit and miss as an injured runner, for either of us though.

So you have or have not ever caught a wiff of the kennel?
My opinion is no for several reasons. This is assuming you, the boyfriend, are a serious runner yourself.
Discus
Just to play along...what are your reasons?
Also, what constitutes a "running girl"? Would that be one as serious as you are?
I never dated anyone who ran with the consistency that I did, but I was not opposed to it. I know quite a few running couples where each is equally dedicated to getting their runs in.
Have dated a few in the past. Never would again. Even when they're in middle-age, I've seen too many stuck in anxiety, neuroticism, fragile egos, unbalanced lifestyles, and warped values that ultimately lead them to underperform at life in general, with poor careers and/or dysfunctional family life. On top of being no fun to be around too often, the anorexic look loses appeal pretty quickly. Fit is fine, but either end of the extremes on the physical size spectrum just isn't attractive.
I know plenty of non-running women who fit that description.

It's proportionally higher among women who stay competitive in running beyond the college or high school team environment. Same for grotesque faces.
