Women only or not, Track and Field needs a combination of one off high end meets showcasing the personality of athletes mixed with great events like those put on by Sound Running giving opportunities to both elites and people just hoping to qualify at the national level. The former is an opportunity to package the sport in a manner that is friendly to the general public. The latter gives an opportunity for fans and up and coming kids see great racing and a path to a future in the sport.
Now Athlos has some pretty good sprint fields. The women's 100 hurdles has been a gift to all meet organizers all year. Wish we could see a Syd v. Gabby in the 200 though.
In the 8, are we going to see obscure meet fast time Addy Wiley take out Mary Moraa or will she fail to step up against big names again?
In the 15, do Corey Mcgee and Katie Snowden (is this a factor of Wetmore being the agent and his ties to New Balance the inability to get someone like Hull, Hiltz, or Bell here?) get gapped before the 800m mark? Faith will likely cut down the pace on the last two laps to win clear of a pretty strong field.
Where's ESP? It's a domestic meet in the NE with the best 1500m runners in the world. It's not like she's not good enough to get in the field.
