Discus.
He should join Sydney and Ating and switch coaching to Bobby Kersee. Seems like he likes their style
Why not just post about it there then?
He's raced 10 times in 2024. How many times do you want him to race?
Kerr's outdoor seasons (track, finals only):
2021: 6 races, 0 DLs
2022: 9 races, 3 DLs
2023: 7 races, 3 DLs
2024: 5 races, 2 DLs
Jakob's outdoor seasons (track, finals only):
2021: 8 races, 6 DLs
2022: 10 races, 4 DLs
2023: 10 races, 8 DLs
2024: 12 races, 6 DLs
Nuguse's outdoor seasons (track, finals only):
2021: 5 races, 0 DLs
2022: 7 races, 0 DLs
2023: 8 races, 5 DLs
2024: 6 races, 3 DLs
Hocker's outdoor seasons (track, finals only):
2021: 11 races, 0 DLs
2022: 11 races, 1 DL
2023: 10 races, 3 DLs
2024: 13 races, 3 DLs

I don't think this was such a crazy comment. Everyone is different and knows what is necessary to get the best from themselves.
He's basically saying he didn't perform tonight because he's tired and he's overcooked it this season. A fair comment really.
Jakob can obviously perform at a higher level more often so he should count himself lucky in that regard.

Yeah, I mean he’s an idiot. Why would a guy who can run 4x55.x with no rest know anything about his body?
This probably ends any chance he runs in Brussels. A bit of a shame as it's a chance for another title, albeit a minor one. Overall, he's had a great year taking down Farah's GB record in the 1500 and Cram's in the mile, as well as his medals and the indoor WR. Next season will be interesting for him with his GST commitments plus British champs and World Champs. It's a lot more racing than he's used to

A good number of those races in 2024 are glorified training sessions. Same for Kerr; he's only run four meaningful races this outdoor season: Pre, British champs, Olympics, Zurich. That 800 in Oregon was basically a workout so I'm not counting that

Name: total races (1500/mile finals, DL appearances)
Jakob: 16 (8, 6)
Cole: 19 (6, 3)
Yared: 15 (8, 3)
Josh: 10 (3, 2)
One of these four is not like the others.
My bad, didn’t see someone else had already posted a similar breakdown.

Well, Nuguse is running another one in Brussels. So it’ll be 7 races, 4 DLs with each doing a road mile.
The key differences are Nuguse ran a mile at Penn for his low-key effort, and then had USAs with everything on the line and then opted to do Monaco, a marquee race. He’s opting to race the DL final.
Kerrs low-key effort was in an off event with an intra-squad 800 and then his UK Trials 800m race was devoid of stakes much like the 5th Ave mile will be.
So Nuguse has Monaco, Trials and DL Finals as high-significance races that Kerr doesn’t.

Dude, he didn’t even show up for the DL final when it was a 3 hour flight from ABQ. No way he shows back up to Brussels after 5th ave.
