solid run for her, I'm happy to see her still excelling. Her results for basically the whole year were a bit underwhelming to me (even though she made world indoors) up until her 1:56 the other day.
I called this days ago. I thought she might target the record in Copenhagen but Poland will work just as well. Congratulations to American Record Holder Addison Wiley! Many more records in the future.
I don't know who this girl is, but exercise is key to a heart-healthy lifestyle. I applaud her for finding a way to have fun and stay fit!
Doctors recommend 60 minutes (that's one hour!) of exercise and play per day for kids 6-17 to promote good health and reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Kudos to Addy for doing her part and setting a good example!
The same Regina Jacobs that was banned due to Balco?
You yahoos want to celebrate this garbage, ok. You do you. But it is a farce. You can make a complete mockery of this sport if you are willing to burn your reputation down to embers.
There is nothing unusual about this performance for her. It is right in line with the rest of her performances. I am not saying she is clean, but this 1000m should not be the basis of your allegations. It is about what one would expect for her.
And clean is faster than a doper on Letsrun. But only on Letsrun. On the track it's different.
Holy cow. I think she can break the 1500m American record right now. She looked smooth from start to finish.
There is nothing more predictable than this endless breaking of records in track now. You would think athletes had suddenly discovered a magic formula.

Except, of course, when we see the tell-tale drop off in performance.
But since no one actually reads my asinine posts, and just downvote them, who cares whether I contradict myself saying dumb things.
She should have been an Olympian. So bummed for her/
yea I was disappointed to see her miss out on the Olympics, but her instagram post made it sound like mostly bad luck. Good to see she's in the shape of her life now.
All the stuff surrounding her coach and her decision to stay with them is super suspicious to me, but it's been almost 2 years and Wiley is passing all the tests that her competitors are. She made World Indoors in March and now she's running super fast times in August, certainly getting tested in between. Not saying she's clean, but I don't think she's much more likely to be doping than anyone else running her times.

I'm absolutely sure there is a doped women with a 1500m PB of 4:10. Anyone faster must be doped too. For Armdumb.
And in the process defeats seven Poles, winning by 8 seconds. I understand people who can’t get into the top European meets often find lower level opportunities but this looks strange. Can’t they get her into a more competitive field now?
Getting to run close to the rail in a race like that helps enormously in getting a fast time.

If they can find a fast enough pacer, then she gets a clean unencumbered shot. Brilliant, if she is good soloing. In her recent 800m PB, she had someone pushing her all the way to the finish.

They don't read your posts but, as you show, they read mine - to their considerable annoyance.

It's fun to read "breakthrough" threads about American runners now when it always used to be Kenyans and Ethiopians. The US is catching up.

But if she can regularly get in a 1500m with the very best (Kipyegon), then she might be able to hit the rail early, aka Jess Hull, and get pulled to the American record. Hull, Muir (and now Georgia Bell) get a lot of those types of opportunities.
