He never had the cold...the problem is too many of you believe what your television set and media tell you..you buy anything it says. Remember, folks believe a tesla is in "space" because the idiot box told them. They believer other lies because NASA told them stories since they were children.
The fact that anyone cares at all that he had Covid makes me want to give up on the human race, he tested positive for a cold. Just like the prior century when runners came down with a sniffle at the Olympics and still competed…. and went out to celebrate afterward. Stop. please … stop
The Covid news was first broken by his Mom on NBC's true live coverage (morning coverage). Prime Time Coverage of the event did not show his mother's interview.
He was wearing a mask in the call room before the semis, and was the only person wearing one in there. I think it is more likely that he was actually sick than that he had commenced faking covid even before the semis, or that he was wearing the mask to protect himself from getting infected by somebody else in the call room (which for the record I think is a perfectly reasonable thing to do, but realistically I don't see any of these guys doing that).
I'm of the opinion that Noah was actually sick, but his theatrics prior to the race are so dumb. I honestly think the long wait to start in the 100m helped him, because doing that crap right before the race must spike is heart rate like crazy, and then he has like a minute to get it down again. Dude needs to calm down.
Noah wants to be Bolt, but Bolt didn't try to be cool, he just was. Noah is corny as hell. Other athletes don't respect him at all. No way they would have talked the junk to Bolt they do to Noah.
So true! My exact thoughts when watching bolt videos yesterday. Bolt was naturally cool af haha. I cringe every time Noah tries to do something at the start line when his name is mentioned. So awkward and unnatural.
And everyone is different, some carry covid asymptomatic, some get sick and feel sick not for long, and other people get sick violently and for long time. But if he is faking, he still lost. He never said unto wouldn't have lost. Only proud of how he did (bronze medal).
Going on the record to say Erin Brown is a worthless rage-baiter... he's so desperate for fame that he went on Dr. Phil lol...he opened his mouth once he realized his legs wouldn't get the job done.
The head of the American Olympic committee confirms that they were informed of his condition days ahead of the 200m final and that he was under their close monitoring the entire time.
Many, many athletes came down with covid in Paris last week, as did many persons in contact with athletes. Lyles just happened to be the highest profile of the lot.
He was full of energy and doing his usual pre race jumping around like a maniac.
He loses the race and he collapses and needs a wheelchair.
1. Supposedly tested positive for COVID but still allowed to run. After his loss in the 200m, SRR and Ato Boldin immediately start the excuse train "oh look, he's on the ground breathing hard --- he has covid!" 2. Partying, dancing in the club after COVID diagnosis. 3. Posts a tweet he's actually COVID negative so he can go out and party. 4. No one close to him had COVID. Weird.
Was he faking his COVID diagnosis as an excuse for his loss?
So for the people upset with "Erin Brown" that's fine - but I'm pretty sure this wasn't a Noah Lyles body double in the club in some attempt to sh-t-can him. So it is a fact that he was nightclubbing within 75 hours of being so physically depleted by covid that he needed to be dramatically wheeled off the track Paul Pierce styles.
I'm not disputing the positive covid test, nor the negative test that then okayed the nightclub visit - even though he was allegedly still sick enough to pull out of the 4x100 as the reigning Olympic Champion. But my god Noah, could you be any more tone deaf? Because right now the majority of the average American sports fans, from the more knowledgeable right down to the casual fan, rightly or not, is of the of the opinion that the "covid" diagnosis was made-up bullsh-t to cover for you getting beat in the event you were supposed to be the most dominant in and have now completely bombed in consecutive Olympics.
Because what they see is you flying out of the tunnel like the damn Ultimate Warrior at Summerslam 1990, getting beat, collapsing dramatically and the next footage they see of you is you doing the Dougie, 48 hours after the US men screw up the 4x100 for the umpteenth time in a major event.
These are the same fans you are looking to convince and capture on your journey to being this "sport transcendent superstar" and now the majority of them think you are a fraud. Like my dude, I want to defend you but I simply can't - I can't believe how stupid you have to be to not understand how this will be interpreted. It simply doesn't matter if your test was negative or if your energy was back to 100% - was cutting shapes at L'Arc worth blowing up your already fragile fan base, many of whom were on the fence about if you were actually an edgy cat unafraid to speak your mind or a corny goofball who acts like a 13 year old kid?
The rational, fact-based reality almost certainly was that he fine to be there. The emotional-based perception is that he created an unnecessary dramatic scene to cover for getting beaten and is ultimately self-serving and selfish.
