Who else remember, the silver medalist from the Tokyo Olympics. An unknown athlete that just showed up to the Olympics, and she grabbed the silver medal and disappeared again.
You mean 1500m world indoor champion Kalkidane Gezaheigne?
Just cause YOU dont know your athletes doesn't make them suddenly unknown
If, IF, that was Battocletti's only race and she had run that 10K and at the end of it collapsed and needed CPR then maybe, MAYBE, I'd allow 1% of my being to entertain she was clean, BUT, she has two 5k's in her and that 10k and she out kicks some of the best distance runners in the world twice AND she crosses the line and saunters around the track waving to the crowd. It's OFFENSIVE how blatant and egregious what I'm seeing is.
Factor in a relatively weak field, and I don't think it's ridiculous that she got silver. Tsegay is clearly off her game and Hassan is on the downward slope of her track career. After that, there were a few women with good one-off times but no big results on their records. Battocletti has been on an upward curve since running well in Tokyo at age 21, she competes well at Euro XC and did the double at the Euros earlier in the year. She might be using, but she's a long way from the most obvious doper I've ever seen
Didn't look like a perfect race for Rai, he has a half second in him. Looked like he stumbled and broke his stride coming off the curve.
Yes he definitely did and it looked like he lost steam for a few strides. I think he’s in WR shape right now
He is not as technically proficient a hurdler as Sydney. If he were, he could probably break the record. He's the fastest of the three over the flat 400
