Wrong timing. Should have kept this for LA. Now the AIU will be all over them the next few years. Expect a disappointing performance in the home olympics.
Americans are training differently and getting better. HS kids have been faster than ever. It was only a matter of time before our HUGE amateur track and field system is paying dividends at the highest level. In fact, it's embarrassing that we were so bad for so long with such a robust system of youth, HS and college running.

I hope this is the answer. But I wouldnt be surprised if any of them got busted.

Doping is also known to be present in schools and colleges. That explains your "dividends".
Sorry to burst your bubble oregon juice but as a recent grad college runner in Utah who competed against the BYU guys many times I can practically guarantee you that Rooks is not on any sort of gear. Much as I hated to lose to them over and over I can one hundred percent tell you the Eyestone crew is not doping.

Don't worry, your (albeit anecdotal) evidence won't change their minds. These guys are led purely by their feelings with no regard for evidence or fact.

Really is surprising the talent pool we have available in the US and we weren’t able to create absolute monsters. Took how many decades for an East African who competed here in hs to make the Olympics (Nuguse, Nur). Calling it right now that a few of those current/former California hs studs are going to cause real problems at the world level soon. Utah and Heartland talents already causing problems at the world level. Future is still bright.

If it was any other country people would be calling them out.
The sport is about winning without failing an official test. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like that framing of the sport. It is just what it is. It practically has all the benefits of the ideal of drugfree sport, but there’s no reason to desire that ideal. It’s not any more fair in any quantifiable sense.

This board is the ultimate "damned if you do, damned if you don't" place. If our distance people weren't getting any medals the board would be flooded with posts complaining about what a disgrace they are and how they should retire and get on with their life. If they do win medals the board is flooded with accusations of doping. No one knows for sure who is or isn't doing it.
And that is why I chose your post to reply to. How can you "one hundred per cent" tell us that Eyestone and crew are not doping? I'm not saying they are or aren't but what have you seen or heard that gives you that degree of certainty? Or do you mean that you have a mostly uninformed opinion here that you are one hundred per cent personally believe?
I think all top US pros are doping bc I think all top pros dope worldwide. But on a contrary note, I am not seeing the US distance women closing the gap, although the 1500m is still to come. That is when we will know that they are proverbially to the gills or that antidoping has finally become effective.
Agreed, the entire 1500m podium is on the Juice, I feel bad for my perfectly clean athlete Jakob Ingebrigtsen. Hopefully the AIU get their Act together!
I’m not going to deny that doping is a possibility, but as a track Dad, I have seen with my own eyes some absolutely ridiculous times being thrown down by middle schoolers. Are we doping that young? It’s a different era of training, and I prefer to believe that the times are legitimate.
Wrong. This is the CLEANEST set of Olympic track medalists in many decades because AMERICA is leading the way and setting an example in hard work and fair competition!
