Why would El Bakkali be disqualified?
There was jostling between Bakkali and Girma specifically in the few steps leading into the barrier that Girma was knocked out on.
Not worthy of a DQ by any reasonable person, but Ethiopia would have a strong case to argue that Bakkali caused the horrific fall if they wanted to spite protest.
What are you guys smoking this is ridiculous. Respect the double champ
Yeah, i was wondering that, especially after the Ethiopian protest on teh women's 5k. I wish that we had the chance to see some replays on Girma's fall to see where the blame lies, if any.
El Bakkali after having fu**ed Jagger years ago, he is repeating the trick to another American.
That is cut right after the jostling takes place, but we all agree with your point.
Everyone talking about the Girma fall but Bakkali blatantly grabbed the Ugandan runner with like 3 laps to go when he tried to run on Bakkali's outside. The guy got last so it didn't really matter lol but it was so obvious
The USA can lodge a protest if they fancy sneaking a gold by the back door
just hit a monster bet +4000 for Rooks to medal
I'd love to see a photo of the bet slip.
If you really did, high five for you!

Just a comment as someone who ran a couple of dozen steeples in my track career, and watched a lot more. I don't remember ever seeing someone get their lead leg over cleanly like Girma and then hammer their trail leg into the barrier. Weird stuff.
This doesn't shock me (unlike someone potentially claiming they picked the Zambian to medal) but I'd also like to see proof
Throwing 1-2 $ on an American underdog to medal isn't shocking
Just like betting on Hocker to win at +2000
I think Attaoui is a good EV bet too at +1400

That's really nice. Hope you put a lot on it.
I only put $10 on it but still. I kept seeing Americans medal so I thought why not. They changed it from +4000 to 3000 write before the gun went off so I had a good feeling

Almost the exact same thing happened to me as Girma. Ended up completely twisted around and hit back of my shoulder and side of my head on the track hard. Laid there dazed for a few seconds trying figure out what had even happened and then got back up and started to run but coach thankfully pulled me off and said “you’re done”. Could not fully flex my knee for days afterwards it was so swollen.
