My wife is attractive, except for a mole on her face. Would like her to get it removed. How to approach?

You want her to get her face removed?

If you tell her this, it's her free pass in her mind to secretly have an affair after she gets it removed because she perceives she's not perfect for you.

Presumably, she had it when you met? When you married?
If it hasn’t grown, changed shape, or changed color, then do not do this. You signed up for everything she is; you said “I do.”

If the mole is a danger, that’s a different story.

But if you tell your wife to fix her appearance for you, your marriage WILL be harmed.

Rookies Sheesh~~~~

1. Make an appointment to remove one of your own moles.
2. When she asks, say you were advised to remove it due to melanoma risk (cancer).
3. Subtle pivot to the mole on her face and how it's better to be safe than sorry.

After all, Angelina Jolie and Olivia Munn have both done double mastectomies to prevent/remove cancer, so a mole is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Find a way to point out another woman who did, without saying something directly.

the best you can do is just drop hints, at this point.

She'd probably want to get it done by a plastic surgeon. Leave magazines open to plastic surgery advertisements? Idk. Talk about, "I've always been self conscious about [x, y, z] and I'm thinking of getting something done about it." Lead her to a discussion about plastic surgery. If she brings up her mole, don't tell her what to do directly though. it has to be her own idea.

There's another risk - she ends up looking amazing w/o the mole, and other men take notice.

Since you're a jerk, she may be tempted by another man.

Thanks for this. I think this is the move. I don’t have any moles (family line is Scandinavian) but will float the conversation of preventive action being taken by dermatologists/LA social circles of mole removal, etc. Maybe will somehow get a dermatologist circular sent to house on preventive mole removal and gave it on top of the mail pile.

Forum poster Rich in California is probably the person to ask this question to. and my honest take is that once i fall in love with someone with whatever features, im kind of into everything they're bringing to the table. it's part of what makes them who they are who I know. if it was that much of a turn off in the first place, i wouldn't have been able to get to a place where i wanted to marry.
