Wejo, as far as I know, you are concentrating on a marathon and "just getting back into shape" also you keep in mind the idea of a 10k on the track
thats good.
but why don't you try your luck with xc?
just a thought, you've probably considered it, maybe even plan on running it, I'm not sure, I'd just like to know.
Cross in this country post collegiately means running the US trials in February and then the worlds.
So really it is a matter of time. I ran the cross race two years ago, this past year I was injured. Depending on when I do a a marathon this year, I might do cross next year. But it won't be the focus. The focus is the olympics and getting the Olympic qualifiers out of the way, that means I need a sub 2:12 and a sub 27:48 before next summer.
At one point I thought of focussing on cross and the puerto rico 10k early in the year and then focussing on a late track season (US nationals) And a race or two in europe. But I don't see me doing that now as I don't think I'll do a marathon until december at the earliest.
