Laurie Henes Interview says Katelyn wouldnt want to tell people she’s sick

I haven't read through this entire thread, but I'm in the camp that believes if Katelyn wouldn't want to tell people she's sick then Henes, as her coach, de facto spokes-person and voice, should have respected that wish and not disclosed that Katelyn was sick. Period.

Once she realizes she's sick with a possibly transmissible condition, she should be wearing a mask when around others, particularly in closed confined spaces with many others such as a bus. Not sure that if that was the case.

I recall Tuohy making it clear that she had run her last indoor season as a collegiate at the end of last year. She graduates in December and has other plans. She’s not a professional entertainer, nor is Valby. I see both of them declaring their plans by the end of the year. Henes has implied as much in her interview. I’m sure her daughter, a close Tuohy friend, is attempting to bring her to Flagstaff so that they can train together at altitude, and possibly room together. I can see KT closing a record pro contract. The NIL deal is only a fraction of her market value. If within their plans they both decide to meet at BU, I very much doubt it will be representing their Alma Maters.

I would say the fact that Tuohy basically collapsed just before the awards ceremony (witnessed by a good number of people) and couldn’t even join her team in the photos kind of gave away the game anyway that she was ill. Didn’t one of her teammates mention this in an interview? Sam?

Tuffy shared on another thread that Tuohy is signing a pro contract in December and staying in Raleigh to train with Henes.

If true I can't understand why on earth she would not move to altitude asap with the trials coming up. Elly Henes, Monson - they dropped like 25-30 seconds from moving to altitude and training for a year.

Why take the chance of spreading something like the flu to a bunch of your teammates, who's immune systems may be a little compromised from hard training already, when you're all in a confined space together with poor ventilation for several hours.

I saw that yesterday. That whole post seemed a little weird to me, the writing style seemed different, and to basically make an announcement that way? Before an official one? Is Tuffy a registered account? I think you know where I’m going with that question.

Good question. Doesn’t make any sense when Steelman trains in Boulder and still gets Henes coaching to augment her training regimen. The December contract is predictable, though staying in Raleigh seems foolish. We’ll see.

Suspicion doesn’t justify personal attack. Did you speak with Stearns? How is it Tuohy’s fault you had a disease outbreak among your family?

Tuohy and Henes have no respect for the health of others. Their behavior is unacceptable.

If you are genuinely butthurt when other people celebrate the success of either Valby or Tuohy, you need therapy. So that should cover everyone in this thread.

I wish the letsrun trolls could make up their minds. Was being sick an excuse for her bad performance or was she actually sick and the behavior of showing up was unacceptable? I'm having a hard time keeping up.
